General Conditions
MV Aankoopmakelaars & Taxateurs is a member of the NVM. The Dutch Cooperative Association of Real Estate Agents and Appraisers NVM U.A. The NVM is the largest membership organization of brokers, appraisers and real estate experts with over 4400 affiliated brokers / appraisers. It has existed since 1898 and has its association office in Utrecht. All affiliated members act according to NVM’s three core values: reliability, expertise and security. To us, these are self-evident, but we’ll list them anyway.
Reliability
- An NVM broker behaves according to the NVM Code of Ethics. She never acts for two clients with conflicting interests.
- An NVM broker looks after the interests of his client and is not dependent on a particular bank or insurance company
Expertise
- An NVM broker is well trained and keeps his knowledge permanently up to date through permanent education.
- The NVM broker knows the market well.
- An NVM broker advises on all aspects of buying or selling. They have architectural insight and are aware of the legal issues.
- An NVM estate agent has access to an NVM database of information. This enables them to provide excellent advice and substantiation.
Security
- An NVM broker is compulsorily insured against professional liability, which means that she does not run any financial risks.
- For any complaints about and disputes with your NVM broker, you can contact the Consumer Information Department of the NVM and, if necessary, appeal to the NVM Disputes Committee and the independent disciplinary tribunal.
